The Bad Habit Club
This skit was called "The Bad Habit Club" and was written by
Fred Passmore of Prime Example,
www.christianskitscripts.com. The
Junior High Sunday School class performed the skit in December 2004. It was a smash hit! The skit
was about a fictional character called Mr. Heart who always attempted to "turn
over a new leaf" around the New Year. His futile attempts were always
short in duration, usually lasting for a couple weeks or less. Mr. Heart's
bad habits all gathered together at the Club to celebrate the New Year...but
something went terribly wrong! Mr. Gossip (Kevin) got a call from his
sources that Mrs. Heart took Mr. Heart to church! Mr. Heart accepted
Jesus! Upon learning the bad news, the bad habits leave the club one by
one, hoping to find occupancy somewhere else. the skit illustrated
the futility of "turning over a new leaf" compared to the life-changing event of
true salvation!
