Youth Rally 2006

This year's Youth Rally was at Fellowship Baptist Church in Columbus Ohio.  The theme was, "Seekers of the Sacred Son" and had an Indian Jones overtone.  The teens of FBC put on a skit with actors playing the part of Nazi Germans seeking the "sacred Son" but thinking it was something other than the true Son, Jesus Christ.  Throughout the skit, Indiana Jones and his girlfriend were captured.  Jones was tied back to back to his father, and they were able to escape.  Meanwhile, his girlfriend was interrogated about the "Sacred Son" and she was able to tell the Nazis about Jesus.  The arch enemy was converted and became a believer of Jesus Christ.  Unknown to Jones, he rescued his bride-to-be in a heroic kind of way.  At the height of the skit, the temple began to quake and collapse.  Jones fell off the bridge and was sure to die.  Fortunately, the newly converted Nazi offered his hand to rescue Jones.  After careful consideration, Jones accepted the help of his one-time enemy, and they all lived happily ever after.

The outdoor events included carnival type rides and food.  There was also a basketball competition and the Extreme Eliminator event.
