Charity Baptist Church has been sending its kids to camp since the 1980's, first to Camp Chazon, then to Camp Pine Lake, and
then to Pleasant Valley Ranch for the last several years.
The campers' days and nights are filled with chapel services (morning
and evening, with a guest preacher every year), sports, snack shack, midnight raids, night hikes on Bear Mountain, shaving cream
fights, and innumerable pranks and good times. There is always a bonfire the last night, with a special message, singing, and
testimonies. Dozens of souls have been saved and lives changed around that bonfire, with hearts softened after a week of preaching
with minimal worldly interference. Other than when a certain pastor's wife takes the teen girls to Steak 'N Shake, of course.
